How accurate is the map?

We have tried to recreate the world as faithfully as we can from Natural Earth's public map data, but each regional map is a simplified, stylised illustration on a grid of squares between 5 and 20 km across and is not to scale. Towns, cities, landmarks, airports, power stations, forests, roads, railways, ferry routes, borders and coastlines are approximate: some are moved to fit the grid or to avoid overlapping, and some roads and railways are simplified or left out. The map must not be used for navigation, and the position of a spot on the map is not a statement about any real-world location.

The map is a stylised illustration of the world and is not to scale; place, airport, power station and landmark names are used for identification only and do not imply any affiliation with, or endorsement by, their owners or operators. Buying a spot gives you advertising space on this website only.
