About Aberystwyth
Aberystwyth grew around a castle built by Edward I in 1277. In 1872 it became home to the first university college in Wales.
The National Library of Wales is here, the Cliff Railway has climbed Constitution Hill since 1896, and the Vale of Rheidol steam railway runs inland to Devil's Bridge.
